Our Fall season begins on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 296 Ninth Avenue at West 28th Street.

We look forward to welcoming new and returning singers alike!

Anyone can join the New York City Community Chorus — truly. We welcome singers of all abilities in every voice part — Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass — no auditions required.

If you’re new to singing, we’ll help you get comfortable, and you may be paired with an experienced member. Each season we also provide rehearsal MP3s with your vocal part recorded by a professional to support your learning.

FALL REHEARSALS BEGIN

  • Not at all. If you’re new to singing, we’ll help you get comfortable, and you may be paired with an experienced member. Each season, we also provide rehearsal MP3s with your vocal part recorded by a professional to support your learning.

  • We rehearse on Mondays from 6:30–8:30 PM at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 296 9th Avenue (at 28th Street).

    Our schedule runs:

    • Fall Season: September–December

    • Spring Season: January–June

    We ask members not to miss more than three rehearsals per season. Two mandatory dress rehearsals are held the week before each concert.

  • We request a $15 contribution per rehearsal, but this is not mandatory. You are welcome to contribute whatever you can afford — or nothing at all. We want everyone to be able to sing, regardless of financial circumstances.

    Contributions can be made by tax-deductible check, PayPal, or Venmo.

  • We ask members to contribute $25 toward the cost of producing our rehearsal MP3 files and an additional $25 for the sheet music used during the season.

    However, because we want everyone to participate fully, both the MP3 files and sheet music are free to anyone who cannot afford them.
